Prescriptions
How do I know if you can make lenses for my prescription?
Our lab makes high-quality lenses up to a Combined Power (Sphere + Cylinder) of -12.00 to +6.00. Our cylinder range is -6.00 to +6.00, and our Add Power runs from +0.25 to +3.50. What’s my “PD” and do you need it to make my glasses?
We need your PD to make your glasses. PD stands for “pupillary distance,” and it’s the distance, in millimeters, between your pupils. We need this distance so we can center your prescription perfectly in your lenses! Sometimes, eye doctors don’t include it in your prescription details. That’s why we made a free, easy PD measurement tool you can use right from our site. It usually takes under a minute to use!

Can I use my contact lens prescription to order glasses?
Nope. Even though they both correct your vision, they’re calculated a bit differently—so the numbers aren’t exactly the same. If you don’t have a current eyeglasses prescription, you’ll have to visit your eye doctor for an eye exam. Be sure to clarify that you need a prescription for glasses, and ask for a copy of your prescription before you leave.

How can I send you my prescription?
It’s easy as pie. You can text a photo of your prescription to 82020! You can also email a photo of it or write it all out in an email to rx@theframery.com. If you have any questions, just give us a call at 1-800-430-3937
I’m ready to order but I don’t have a copy of my prescription. Help!
There are a few ways you can get a copy of your prescription details. You can call your eye doctor and ask for a copy of your prescription, including your pupillary distance, to be faxed to us at 800-874-1564. You can call us at 1-800-430-3937 and ask us to call your eye doctor for you. We’ll need your date of birth and your eye doctor’s phone number to do this, so have that info ready.

How do I find glasses that fit?
If you know what size frame fits you best, you can search frames by size You can also use our Find My Fit tools to find your size. Try the face-scanning tool, which uses your device’s camera to measure your face and recommend styles that’ll fit. And if you want to try them on in person, place an In-Home Try-On order — it’s totally free!
How does In-Home Try-On work?
We think shopping for glasses online should be way easier—and way less like picking a new tattoo blindfolded. That’s why we created our free In-Home Try-On. You can explore different styles from the comfort of your couch, with no store visits and zero pressure. Just choose your favorite frames and add them to your try-on cart to get started.
How does Virtual Try-On work?
You can try on all of our styles virtually with Virtual Try-On. Once you land on a frame you like, just click on the "Virtual Try-On" button, remove your frames you're currently wearing, and get a quick face scan (camera has to be enabled for it to work). If you want the most accurate rendering, hold a credit card up to your face as the last step so that we can measure your pupillary distance (PD) to show you how the frames will look in real life.
When do I give you my prescription?
We will collect your prescription during the order process. You can upload a photo (definitely the easiest!) or enter the parameters yourself. Returns, Exchanges and Adjustments
How do I exchange or return my glasses?
You’ve got 60 days for free returns on every the Framery order. During that time, you can return your glasses for a full refund or exchange them for another pair. To start a return, you can call our customer service team at 1-800-430-3937. Text us at 82020. Or email us at hello@theframery.com
What if my frames need adjusting after I get them?
If the fit isn't quite right when your glasses arrive, you can take your frames to any optical shop to have them adjusted for you. If they charge you for the adjustment service, we’ll reimburse ya up to $25! Call us at 1-800-430-3937. Text us at 82020. Or email us at hello@theframery.com
How do I take care of my glasses?
We’re so glad you asked! Here are a few tips. Tip 1: Use the microfiber cloth we sent with your glasses to wipe down the lenses and the frame. Don’t use other cloths or materials, as they have rougher fibers that can scratch your lenses. Tip 2: Just use water! Warm water will break down grease and fingerprints just fine on its own. Never use dish soap, laundry detergent, or other cleaning products. They’ll strip your lens coatings right off the surface! Tip 3: Store your glasses whenever you’re not wearing them. Use the hard case to keep them safe, especially during the night. We can’t tell you how many pairs get stepped on by accident…
Lenses
Are the free lenses that you include with every pair high quality?
We include free, clear single-vision prescription lenses made from premium polycarbonate with every frame. Polycarbonate is an high-quality lens material that you usually have to pay an upgrade fee for at other lens providers. We start with it because your lenses will last longer and have a better chance of resisting breakage.
Do you sell progressives? What about bifocal and trifocals?
We do offer progressive or multifocal lenses. Ours are line-free and correct distance, near, and reading vision in a single lens. We don’t currently offer bifocal lenses or lenses for prescriptions that include a prism. Do I need high-index lenses?
Great question! High-index lenses are made from a thin and light material that won’t create a Coke-bottle effect as it is shaped to accommodate higher prescriptions. If your prescription is lower than -3.50 or higher than +3.50 total power, we recommend high-index lenses. They offer increased clarity and sharpness for your vision needs. Do your lenses include AR and UV coatings?
All of our clear and polarized sun lenses include our essential coating, free! This includes AR (anti-reflective) and UV (ultra-violet) coatings that protect your eyes and make the lenses easier to see through.
What does the deluxe coating add to my lenses?
It includes all of our essential lens benefits, including scratch resistance and anti-reflective coatings. It also adds some great features, like an anti-static coating to repel dust and an oleophobic treatment that makes fingerprints super easy to wipe off the lens. All of our blue light and light-responsive lenses include our upgraded deluxe lens coating. That's a $39 upgrade for FREE! You can add it to any clear lens during checkout for $39.

Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately, we do not offer international shipping.
How long will it take for my glasses to arrive?
Once we’ve received your prescription, it usually takes about 7-10 days to complete your order. Depending on your prescription type, your glasses may take longer to process. One of the most common hold-ups during processing is a missing PD or pupillary distance measurement on your prescription. To ensure we can get right to work on your order, make sure you’ve included your PD with your prescription details. Don’t have one? Use our free tool to measure yours.
Do you ship signature-required?

Do you double-check my order to ensure nothing is wrong before shipping to me?
We triple-check every single order for prescription correctness and frame integrity before sending them to you. Insurance
Can I use my vision insurance?
Yes! If you have United Healthcare or VSP, your benefits will be automatically applied at checkout. For other providers, we're considered out-of-network, but reimbursement is easy:

They are! If you order prescription lenses, of any kind (including sunnies and blue light!) you can use your FSA or HSA account to pay for them.
